Mrs. Alvina Soboleski, 721 S. Center St., passed away Monday, June 14, ar 8:45 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital following failing health for the past five years.
The deceased was born Sept. 18, 1869, in Germany, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Glassman. She was married to John Kasmirski in 1887, and her second marriage to John [sic] Soboleski took place in 1914. She had resided in Germany until one year of age then came to this country with her parents and settled in the Town of Westford, Dodge County, until the time of her marriage, and then came to this city where she has lived since.
Surviving are four daughters and four sons from her first marriage, Mrs. Frances Veling, Beaver Dam; Mrs. Rose Otto, Beloit; Hattie Kasmirski, Milwaukee; Michael Kasmirski, King, Wisconsin; [Mrs.?] Joseph Meyer, West Allis; Mrs. Otto Meyer, Milwaukee; John Kasmirski, Milwaukee; Walter Kasmirski, Beaver Dam; two sons, Leo and Stanley Soboleski, Beaver Dam, by her second marriage; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Irvin McCloud, Milwaukee and Mrs. John Bubel, Rochester, N.Y.
Preceding in death were: her parents, both husbands, three sisters, one brother, two sons, one in World War I and one in infancy.
She was a member of St. Michael's Church, the Rosary Society of said church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Gold Star Mothers.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from St. Michael's Church. Rev. Francis L. Hinz officiated at the services and interment was in St. Michael's Cemetery.
She was buried on 16 Jun 1954 in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Beaver Dam, Dodge, WI.
